Europe Trip - Switzerland (Part II)

26 Dec 2010 - Heaven on Earth Tour Package (Glacier + Mt Jungfrau + Ice Palace)
Woke up at 7am coz we were feeling very hungry! Haha.. coz we skipped dinner & slept at I think 8pm?
Wash up went for breakfast at 8am. Omg!!! The breakfast area was super duper grand with lotsa variety! We were overwhelmed & was so so so happy that we skipped dinner last night! The food was also delicious. I love the bacon & corn flakes! They had my favorite coco crunch!!!! *love*
Went back to hotel room to get dressed for the tour. Wore extra jacket inside for top but only had tights & jeans for bottoms. But the tights my sis bought for me were real good!!! They can really keep me warm!
Here's some photos of our spacious hotel room, it has a balcony somemore! :) Toilet was big & clean too with bathtub, hair dryer & portable warm water but realized we didn't take any photos.
Strolled to the Casino again at 10am & played around while waiting for the tour bus which is supposed to depart from the Casino Gallery at 11am. Look at the mountain behind the Casino! We could see the top today! The weather was great! Snow cleared & sky was very blue. *splendid*
Off we go.. up up up the winding mountain on a coach! I love the X'mas Trees! Snow-covered and real!
The Alps & some people skiing.. Cool!
1st train we took.. quite cool.. the windows can pull down to experience the cold air & take photos.
Changing to a more grand train to the top of Europe, Mt Jungfrau!!! Everywhere is white snow, making the background very bright, which explains why I'm wearing shades. Some of the photos I take without flash, all with the help of natural sunshine. However, as Europe is located at the northern hemisphere, temperate country, sun shines at an angle. Even at mid-noon, I think the sun is not overhead. Therefore, some photos look dark but I think they are nicer than those with flash.
The weather outside reads -23.6degrees.. it's not very cold I think but I met with a helicopter landing when I went out so the wind was strong!!!!

Back indoor again before we head to another outdoor trek...
And we are out!! I'm missing the snow & wind now that I blog!!!
My sis & mum! My mum's windpants aren't that ugly afterall.. haha.. she specially bought it from OG for 60dollars to wear here but she only went out for awhile & hike maybe 10m! After that, she went indoor already.
Arrival of the helicopter!!!! OMG!!!! HIDE!!!! The wind was strong! Look at the snow flying all over!
Hiked further up to this point & the scenery was breathtaking! Wind was strong too, I can't stand still and my sis was so afraid I'll fly away or fall over the edge. It's really dangerous!
Tired out after maybe 15mins of intensive floating about and taking in the 360degree scenery.

At Grindelwald-First.. a Skiing / Sledging paradise. We planned to try but decided not to after looking at the gears. Figured that we'll probably end up with bruises & I'm still sick. I hope to come back Switzerland again next time and try these!
On the train back..
Scenery on the way down.. sun was setting so the sky was painted pinkish purple. BEAUTIFUL
And the little cottages start to light up. Very pretty.
Had Italian dinner back at Interlaken.. at a restaurant called Piz Paz.. highly recommended online & it was a right choice. I love the mussels pizza! We ordered without knowing it's mussels and it's delicious! Pizza crust was also great. Not too thin nor thick. The curry puff looking thing was nice too. Mushroom & ham inside. Had red wine again & those 4euro red wine are really cheap & good. Our daily dosage of greens.. salad was nice too. Dressing was uniquely nice! Tee Hee.. I love my switzerland experience.
I love ice creams! Think my sore throat & cough never recover coz I keep eating ice cream. ;p
Back to our hotel.. cozy fireplace!!! Nitez!
Total Spending for Switzerland - S$2400 (1.6k accomodation & tour, 0.8k on souvenirs & meals)
*Switzerland is an expensive country for holiday but worth it! The experience is priceless! Love it to bits and the snow adds on to the winter wonderland experience. My mum is thinking of going in summer to see the green mountains & trees but I dun think it's gonna be nice. Dear.. Can we go Switzerland for Honeymoon?
